The Commons is locally owned and operated by Hilltop Community Resources, Inc., a non-profit. The decision to build The Commons, Hilltop’s second Assisted and Independent Living community, was easily made after seeing Grand Junction’s positive response to The Fountains. The Commons construction was completed in December 2002 and consists of 133 apartments, ranging in size from studios to large two bedrooms. The community boasts spacious and comfortable common areas and provides amenities such as a furnished library, high-speed Internet computers and putting green area.

The Commons Garden Grill Dining Room is one of the most valued features of The Commons, allowing residents and their guests to eat anytime between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm. Feel free to order the special of the day or something from a menu of healthy and nutritious meals. Laughter and lively conversation make the dining room especially inviting to new residents and the flexibility of eating times provides fertile ground for making new friends.
Visitors often comment on the beauty of The Commons; however, the greatest strength of The Commons is the compassionate, responsive and friendly care the residents receive. Staff pledge to “give unmatched customer service to all residents, guests and co-workers.” This customer service creates an elegant, yet warm and comfortable ambiance that fulfills even unexpressed needs. The Commons’ experience will leave one with feelings of respect, knowledge, honesty, support, and fun.
